Our Work

Brihaspati foundation – ALWAYS READY TO SERVE TO NATION AND HUMANITY

Our Flagship Programme

1-Spreading Awareness Regarding Government Policies and Schemes Union and State Government work tirelessly for the benefit and upliftment of all the citizens of country.
However, a large percentage of our country’s population resides in villages and rural areas. Most of the people in such areas are uneducated or just literate. These physical barriers do not allow them to know about the beneficial policies. But here ignorance is not bliss and it is very important to make each and every person aware of their rights, duties, and responsibilities as a Citizens of this country. We at Brihaspati Foundation believe in personal communication. Our volunteers visit people door to door.
We spend enough time to make all the members of the family understand about the respective suitable schemes and encourage them to apply for the scheme. We also help them understand the basic points related to all the schemes and policies. With their consent we help in follow up process so that the end
result is delivered on time. Our volunteers carry a handy ready reckoner where we have compiled a list of suitable schemes and policies. This is for easy referral by volunteers and avoid missing any important information while talking to people. Most of times people are biased and do not want to cooperate as
well. We convince them by showing examples and other logical explanations. All the information regarding major government policies and schemes related to health, education, agriculture, electrification,
housing, mother and child care, rural age employment, loans, insurance schemes, clean and protect river Ganga among others are passed on to the people.

UPCM

Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust the perfection of the creation so far, as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy. Every man’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.

2-Mission Primary Education(VIDYA)
This is true that education and correct learning is a big requirement for children in order to join them with the mainstream of our country but there are certain others requirement which need equal consideration. · The very fast area of concentration is connecting to present. We still have a considerable number of illiterate adults in our country due to which they still do not understand the importance of education and don’t allow their children to get enrolled for school or even if they do not continue with their children with their formal education till end, this situation is severe in case of girls. So, our goal is to educate more and more adults regarding the importance of education in their lives.

Children remain proximal to their mothers mostly. Undoubtedly, a mother is the first teacher for a kid. So, we strongly believe that adult women who were not fortunate enough to get education should be enrolled for basic education. Also, they can support their children best when they are financially independent. And we are committed to take up the work through conducting study and skill development classes for them. Courses would be offered in field of tailoring, beauty services, cooking etc. which can make them
self-sufficient. We believe that half of the battle is won when mother/adult women are empowered.
Children can pay proper attention towards our study related efforts only when they face minimum challenges on the other fronts of their life, like food, health and other basic amenities etc. Organization of health camps, conducting health and nutrition awareness classes, regular yoga and physical exercise classes, classes for personality development etc.
Educating children in a proper way is our utmost goal where we intend to raise the children to their required learning levels through various efforts starting from sorting out the children according to their present levels of learning (which may not coincide with the current school grades they are in), conducting classes as per curriculum and study tools developed by our experts to raise their learning levels in language and arithmetic specially. One of the most important tools here is a library for kids which can be used to enhance the learning skills. Setting up courses for skill development for children of suitable ages and young adults is the most ambitious project for us. Here we collaborate with other institutions to find our suitable opportunities
of skill development which can be translated into earning opportunity. Also, with the collaboration of many private schools (Indian English school, Uday Narayan Academy, RS Shikshan Sansthan) we use to organize some special visual smart classes. We distribute basic educational stuffs (notebooks, books, pencils, pen, eraser, sharpener, geometric-box, drawing books colours)

3- BHAR DO KHALI PET
· A strong society depends upon the mental and physical health of its members. There are still a large number of people of all pages for whom filling their stomach is a challenge. 5- MISSION WOMEN EMPOWERMENT (LAXMI BAI)
For a country to be ideally recognized as developed many factors need to be on top notch, out of which spot of women plays a crucial role in it .With regard to community or society we live in, it comprehends of men and women, where men is considered as bread winner of the family and women resides in enslavement for attaining men’s personal necessity and act accordingly to the decision they made for her. So, this condition can be acknowledged as male dominating society where range of roles for
women include as obedient daughter, carrying mother, caretaker of household chores like food, clothing, cleaning, etc. and are barred to ask questions for her own lifestyle. To provide a vision to them apart from the above part, empowering women became prerequisite. It means women have equal rights to access opportunities irrespective of any discrimination. Women are needed to be empowered or brought in financial or limitation free mainstream in India because after assessing life cycle of herbs
they are found in pitiable circumstances in different parts of India.
· Before birth: –If diagnosed while pregnancy that fetus is a female then feticides is done.
· After Birth: —
Ø Female is born then infanticide will take place at first.
Ø Mother will suffer from mental torture of not being capable enough of giving birth to a family heir i.e.; Son. Gender inequality like malnutrition, iodine deficiency, anemia, child abuse, school dropouts, etc. The above-mentioned problems are due to priorities perspective for a male child even after fundamental human right women face gender disparity lifelong. Gender prejudice begins from childhood regarding expectation and access of resources and opportunities in their own home, school and society.
For example: boys will be immediately taken for health treatment whereas girls will be delayed or nonspecialized remedial actions will be the steps taken. Boys are in enrolled more in schools because their parents show a sense of greed that their son will look up for them in future whereas daughters are to be settled at some other family so bearing expenses on them will be a total waste. Nutritional diets are preferred for son not for daughters due to which they lack in many bodily nutrients and suffer from above
mention diseases.
· After marriage: —
Ø Due to lack of educational facilities since childhood they are not recognized to be capable for taking decisions for their life or someone else’s life too.
ØT hey are unaware of their rights.
ØT hey are not able to literate their own child & always has to be dependent on his husband while taking any crucial decision They don’t know their self-worth and are affected or faces marital rapes, dowry torture both mental + physical with embarrassment and shame for lifelong which ends never. All these discrimination or social evils can be overcome by taking one step that is giving them access to opportunities in every field but mainly education because “it is an initial line of deface” the realm
of women empowerment is limited to granting balanced right to women for which our NGO (Brihaspati Foundation) is working to uplift the latent capabilities of a women .After assessing the potential increase in women literacy that is 53.67% in 2001 to 65.46% in 2011, we are operating towards increasing enrolment rate and decreasing dropout rate of girl child in schools through non- formal methods.
Our NGO does numerous programs to change the attitude of society for women like: -Nukkad Natak, rallies, training or skilling women to start their own entrepreneurship program because empowerment comes within the soul so their attitude towards themselves needs to be changed at first .Though commendable decrease in IMR and MMR is seen in current data but constant support is required even now because in Gender Inequality and Global Gender Gap Index India has shown a humiliating position
that is 125th and 108th respectively in 2017.

6 – CLEAN AND GREEN ENVIRONMENT(11 REPLACES 1)
Our country is filled with resources and its flora and fauna is rich in all the parts. However, the developed cities have seen tremendous reduction in number of trees. We understand that this is not at all good for our ecosystem. We are committed to serve our environment to the best of our capacity. Planting trees and making people aware for the same is a big part of our efforts towards society. Planting Trees has never made sense in past than it is today because global warming, uncontrolled paper printing, home of wild taken away, coal and wood combustion, and many more unavoidable bad deeds of humans. As we know trees provide both short terms plus long-term benefits that we can look upon. Trees are crucial part of our lives. Even after their rich altruistic values trees are not cared properly. So, a new initiative i.e., “eleven replaces one” is a new program launched by Brihaspati Foundation because of urban encroachment. Urban areas lack trees because of more concretion where people suffer from several
problems like smog and air pollution.
Our NGO is taking proactive steps to aware people for planting trees and saving the left one’s. Our team started this noble initiative when a tree felt down at Nagwa Road due to less soil and more urban encroachment. It was one among a very few trees of that lane. So, to preserve and balance our ecosystem this felt like the essential requirement of that time and pledged that eleven trees will be planted by team Brihaspati under this campaign. Planting trees is not planting sapling but it is planting hope
for our future. “Eleven Replaces one” is a tribute to our mother nature for its significance on this globe.

Organize eye camps at regular interval of 3 months.

9- TRANSGENDER EMPOWERMENT (SUPERHUMAN)
Decades have passed after Indian constitution guaranteed fundamental rights to equality, freedom from discrimination on the basis of sex, but even now third gender humans in India are socially excluded and discriminated in every domain. Irrespective of amendment in section 377 of IPC people LGBTQIA face social stigma for the act.
From among this wide community there is a particular group called as transgender, who are naturally suffering by birth, because they are entangled in their own identity. These are those people whose gender Identity does no matches or aligned with their sex. They suffer from various inequalities like –
·Harassment and discrimination
·Sexual, mental and Physical violence
·Lack of healthcare facilities
·Identity documents
· egal protection
·Poverty
·Illiteracy
·Unemployment & many more
Highlighting some major problems faced by Transgender Community and making the society aware about these problems faced by transgenders in INDIA. BRIHASPATI FOUNDATION is organizing programmes in which we are trying to change the people’s attitude towards Transgenders and trying to include them in Mainstream in society, educational institutions, jobs. Awareness programmes .
